Music Ministry
Music is an essential part of worship. It’s what writes God’s word on our hearts. If you are interested in participating in any of our music ministries, please call the church office and we’ll connect you with the ensemble of your choice!

Chancel Choir
Directed by Ruben Droscha, our Director of Music. They rehearse on Wednesday evenings during the programming year and share their music in worship on Sunday mornings. We welcome all voices and talents!
Handbell Choir
Our handbell choir is directed by Rubin Droscha, our Director of Music. This ensemble requires some coordination and moderate music-reading ability. the Handbell Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings during the programming year and offers their music in worship periodically.
Children’s Choir
At Mason First UMC, our children love participating in Children’s Choir under the direction of Mrs. (Chris) Bement who encourages a love for Jesus along with good foundational children’s music techinque. We look forward to every children’s choir performance! If you have a youngester who loves to sing, contact Mrs. Bement to get the latest information about the Children’s Choir reshearsal schedule.
Instrumental Ensemble:
Do you play a musical instrument? We welcome solo instrumental offerings, but also have a reserve of other talented instrumentalist from which to pull together ensemble combinatons. Let us know if you would like to share your musical talents with us!
Contemporary Praise:
Although our church does not have a history of contemporary worship, there are many in our church who appreciate the variety and energy of contemporary music. We are in infancy stages of putting together a contemprary ensemble. If you are interested, please call Pastor Suzanne for more information.
Youth Praise Ensemble:
Our youth suite has just been remodeled and the new space comes with worship space and drum set! We are in the process of putting together a youth praise ensemble. If you are in grade 7-12th and are interested in participating, please contact Pastor Suzanne for more information.
